Job Type: Full-Time, Salary Exempt

Position Summary: The DCCC is hiring a Voter Protection Cure Hotline Manager to manage our Cure Response Hotline for the 2024 election cycle. This individual will work closely with the Voter Protection Deputy Director for Post-Election and Redistricting to help execute a program to cure rejected ballots across the country. The Voter Protection Cure Hotline Manager will build the Hotline’s infrastructure, train staff and volunteers to answer calls, and help voters cure their ballots in target districts. Ideal candidates for this position will have a background in organizing or voter protection work and are comfortable providing technical support to Hotline volunteers. This is a full time role with the ability to work remotely.
This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.
Responsibilities Include
  • Set-up the Cure Response Hotline infrastructure – from drafting a plan to selecting a company to organizing the slack channel – to be able to field incoming calls as well as to facilitate outgoing calls
  • Help the Voter Protection Team identify and address larger trends that may impact voters’ ability to successfully cure their ballots.
  • Recruit and train staff and volunteers on how to use the Cure Response Hotline and the various methods of ballot cure in different states.
  • Create a Hotline that serves the needs of all voters (non-English speaking voters, voters with disabilities, and other underserved communities)
  • Run district-specific cure phonebanks via the Cure Response Hotline
  • Create and manage a daily report of all outgoing and incoming Hotline activity to aid in the tracking of universe progress and inform district strategy
  • Serve as a resource to staff and volunteers while they answer and make calls, and ensure they provide accurate and useful information about the ballot cure process.
  • Manage the backend of the Hotline’s operating system; staff Hotline shifts and provide technical assistance to users.
  • Work closely with Regional Voter Protection Directors to improve training and resource materials for the Hotline.
  • Connect with Statewide Voter Protection Hotlines to provide resources and support around post-election related issues.
Requirements
  • 1 cycle(s) experience working on political campaigns in an organizing or voter protection capacity or comparative experience working with community, advocacy or electoral organizations with success in developing and winning campaigns
  • Telzio or Dialpad experience is a plus but is not required
  • Law School degree is a plus but is not required
  • Experience managing volunteers at scale or building out volunteer infrastructure
