About the Job: ( Position Location: Washington, DC or Remote) 

We are looking for a Senior Consultant Labor Economist to join our Employment & Litigation Support (ELS) Division, within the HR & EEO Analytics practice area. The ELS division is staffed by I/O Psychologists and Labor Economists and is organized into practice areas including Employee Selection and Assessment, HR & EEO Analytics, and Litigation Support. We partner with our clients to design state of the science employee selection systems, evaluate workforce systems and processes, and ensure applied research is considered in the context of applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

Our HR & EEO Analytics team members provide services that assist clients with examining the equity of their hiring, promotion, termination, and compensation practices.

You are an ideal Consultant candidate within the HR & EEO Analytics practice area if:

· You are passionate about solving complex workplace pay equity challenges.

· You have knowledge of or applied experience in pay equity and EEO analytics.

· You can apply a range of advanced statistical and analytical approaches.

· You are motivated and have strong attention to detail.

· You can manage multiple projects and prioritize competing tasks to meet client or court deadlines that sometimes require extended work hours.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct advanced statistical and quantitative analyses related to matters of equal employment opportunity.

· Conduct pay equity studies using multiple regression and in accordance with standards set forth under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

· Perform various EEO analyses (e.g., computing adverse impact statistics) across a wide range of employment decisions (e.g., hiring, promotion, termination, pay, performance management, and test-based selection).

· Present results to clients and other stakeholders, including lawyers and federal agency staff (if applicable).

· Support project logistics as necessary.

· Maintain and expand knowledge of relevant legal statutes and regulations by researching and participating in professional development.

Required Technical Skills:

· A Ph.D. in Labor Economics

· Strong programming and statistical modeling skills using programs such as SAS, SPSS, or R (SAS preferred).

· Skill in a range of advanced statistical approaches (e.g., statistical significance tests for categorical and continuous data, multiple linear regression analysis, logistic regression analysis, power analyses, reliability indices, non-parametric tests, effect size indices).

· Skill in evaluating data sources and analytical approaches for validity, reliability, and credibility to ensure the data support informed decisions and conclusions.

· Skill in research design (e.g., planning and evaluating quasi-experimental research, designing sampling plans, understanding threats to validity).

· Applied skill in interpreting and communicating statistical data to others.

· Strong computer skills in MS Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, 365, Teams).

· Knowledge of or ability to learn SAS (if not already a skill).

Required General Skills:

· Ability to gather, synthesize, and act on information to solve issues using effective critical thinking skills.

· Strong attention to detail as needed for the preparation of analyses and documents suitable for the court.

· Strong written and oral communication skills and presentation skills.

· Strong ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing tasks.

· Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment as a member of a team and with significant autonomy, self-discipline, and organization skills.

Preferred Skills:

· Familiarity with EEO laws including EO 11246, Title VII, ADA, UGESP, EPA etc.

· Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

· Experience working in a consulting environment.
