DescriptionMAINTENANCE TECH 2The Maintenance Tech 2 is responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical issues within conveyor systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to company & site-specific safety policies and procedures
- Complete preventative maintenance routines
- Track, store and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment inventory provided by DCI or its client
- Engage in the troubleshooting of conveyor systems in collaboration with DCI’s field team, subcontractors, and OEM suppliers as necessary
- Disassemble and reassemble conveyor components, so that preventative maintenance, repair and/or replacement of defective sensors, controllers, motors, belts, etc. may be performed
- Develop positive relationships with team members, management, subcontractors, and clients
- Assist in the training and development of other team members
- Support the project with any other task assigned by a supervisor
RequirementsQualifications
- Associates degree from a vocational school or college with a focus on Mechanical or 3-5 years of experience with conveyor systems and controls
- Proficient in the maintenance and repair of automated material handling equipment
- Proficient in welding as well as other fabrication skills
- Proficient in mechanical blueprint reading
- Willingness and ability to lead a team of 1-3 other Maintenance Techs with an assigned task
- Maintains a focus on Material Handling Equipment safety in accordance with DCI and OSHA Safety standards
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Excellent internal and external communication skills
- Must work well in a team setting and be willing to work diligently to meet customer deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills with a heart to serve
- A commitment to grow and mature in the mission, vision, and core values of the Company
- A friendly, professional, positive attitude
- Flexibility and composure under pressure
