Schedule Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 (40 hours) What You'll Do Summary/Objective: The Data Scientist II role demands a high level of analytical skills to solve diverse business problems and provide high quality insights by delivering innovative solutions that create significant impact for the business.It is expected that the individual have an inquisitive mind-set with strong critical thinking and a desire to solve business problems through the effective application of appropriate models and tools. This role requires an individual who takes initiative with a zeal to execute projects that are meaningful to the business. Experience in managing the delivery of advanced analytics, AI/ML driven projects will add value, as the organization works to continue to build out data science and advanced analytics as a competency. Assist in leading project delivery individually or along with other team members by - gathering requirements, aligning on scope, designing the approach, generating a plan of action, executing delivery and managing stakeholder expectations
Developing innovative and actionable solutions from scratch with an aptitude for leveraging critical thinking and analytics applied to complex business problems and translating outputs into tangible business ready solutions
Facilitate data enabled decision making by developing and communicating qualitative/quantitative analytics, tailoring presentations and key messages for stakeholders of various levels across the organization, both technical and non-technical.
Work with both internal and external stakeholders to successfully understand and collaborate in designing the requirements for a project/solution and build the analytical construct based on those requirements.
Participate in the structuring of business problems, developing hypotheses, and formulating problem solving approaches
Own and manage all data for specific modules of analytical projects; understanding the data and data structures, with the ability to mine data to find causal relationships and key insights
Document, review and validate models and solutions with governance in mind, so as to ensure manageability, supportability and alignment with corporate strategy.
Conduct all job functions and responsibilities in accordance with all company Compliance, Information Security and Regulatory policies, procedures and programs
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Math, Statistics or related field
Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in Advanced Data Analytics
Minimum of 1 years of experience in Financial Services preferably Banking
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Macros, VBA, SAS & SQL
Intermediate to expert level of proficiency in coding with Python and/or R programming for data science
Proficient knowledge of machine learning algorithms like SVM, KNN, Random Forests, Boosted Trees, Neural Networks etc., and capable of determining which are most appropriate for a given problem.
Experience in developing efficient code in SQL/SAS or similar development tools and frameworks
Proficient experience with cloud: AWS, Sagemaker, and GitHub
Knowledge of MLOps
Good understanding of Predictive Modeling
Sound understanding of statistical concepts like regression, Chi-square tests, hypothesis testing etc.
Background, training, or experience in quantitative analysis, such as: Applied Math & Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Statistics, Operations Analysis, Economics
Out-of-box thinking, and team player approach with a passion for solving complex problems, will be key attributes for this role
Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take on uphill challenges
Working knowledge of Agile Methodology
