Event Staff – Albany, NY – Part-Time, Sporadic

LOCATION: Albany, NY

SALARY: $18 per hour

HOURS: Sporadic events, typically Saturdays and Sundays

JOB DESCRIPTION: This detail is designed to be an observant, visual deterrent against theft, physical confrontation, and other offensive behavior. Event Staff is to use their command presence and verbal instruction to deter theft and address patrons that are harassing other patrons, damaging equipment, or creating physical confrontation. Event Staff WILL NOT make any form of physical contact with anyone unless they are protecting themselves or others from bodily harm. Event Staff will remain on post at all times and will not chase after or engage any patron that departs the roperty for physical confrontation, theft, equipment damage, or failure to pay for merchandise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain high situational awareness
• Maintain a professional presence on post, acting as a deterrent
• Adhere to DDCues Post Orders and General Instructions
• Report Incidents immediately as they occur, both to the on-site Supervisor and the DDCues Corporate Office
• Event Staff will be professionally dressed in khaki or tan pants, a black shirt with no logos, and clean, professional footwear. If wearing a hat, it must be plain and without logos.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior experience as Event Staff at large events
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Familiar and comfortable with report writing
