What You’ll Do:
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with trade partners and suppliers to ensure the best value, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Prepare and issue bid requests, review proposals, and analyze costs to support company goals.
• Maintain purchasing databases, budgets, and price sheets using ERP software.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address cost variances, improve processes, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure accuracy of purchase orders and scopes of work, supporting high-quality construction projects.
What We’re Looking For:
This is a full-time position. The hourly salary range is $30 to $34 based on experience.
Experience: Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, ideally in construction or homebuilding.
Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Experience with ERP software is a plus.
Mindset: A proactive, solutions-oriented team player who thrives on accountability and continuous improvement.
Values: Integrity, positive energy, and a passion for delivering exceptional results.
Valid California Driver’s License
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in the following software programs: Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and industry purchasing software equivalent to BuilderMT Workflow Management Suite (WMS).
Must have a clean background check and credit history.
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
