Job Title: Site Coordinator, 21st CCLC After School Program

Job Summary:
The Site Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the 21st Century Community
Learning Centers (CCLC) After School Program at Detroit Leadership Academy (DLA). The
primary responsibility of the Site Coordinator is to ensure a safe, enriching, and
educational environment for students while meeting the program's goals and compliance
requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management
Plan, coordinate, and implement afterschool activities that align with the 21st CCLC
objectives.
Ensure all program activities are age-appropriate and engaging and support student
learning and development.
Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for
improvements.
Staff Supervision
Recruit, hire, and train afterschool program staff, including teachers, tutors, and
volunteers.
Provide ongoing supervision, support, and professional development opportunities
for staff.
Conduct regular staff meetings to review program goals, share best practices, and
address any issues.
Student and Family Engagement
Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all students.
Maintain regular communication with students' families to inform them of program
activities, schedules, and student progress.
Coordinate family engagement events and activities to promote parent involvement
in the program.
Administrative Duties

This program was developed under a grant awarded by the Michigan Department of Education.
Ensure compliance with all 21st CCLC grant requirements and reporting obligations.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, program activities, and staff hours.
Prepare and submit required reports to the Program Director and funding agencies.
Safety and Compliance
Ensure all child care licenses for K8 schools are valid and uptodate.
Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
Address any behavioral or disciplinary issues in accordance with program policies.
Community Partnerships
Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, local businesses,
and other stakeholders to enhance program offerings and resources.
Coordinate with school staff and administration to align afterschool programming
with the school day curriculum.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or higher in Education, Child Development, Social Work, or a
related field.
Experience in an educational or afterschool program setting.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, parents, staff, and
community members.
Knowledge of 21st CCLC program goals and requirements is preferred.
Must meet Child Care Licensing requirements.
CPR and First Aid certification is required (or willingness to obtain).
