Decatur County Memorial Hospital is Hiring a PRE AUTHORIZATION SPECIALIST, REHAB Near Greensburg, IN

POSITION SUMMARY
- Reports To:
  - Services Lead, Support Staff
- Summary:
  - Responsible for providing accurate and complete input and obtain pre-certification/authorization requests and eligibility on all radiology patients to ensure reimbursement for all services rendered.
- Work Schedule:
  - Must be able to work non-standard hours, 8 to 10 hr days between 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Education
  - High School Education or GED. Two years college preferred.
- Experience
  - Six months previous experience in customer service. Knowledge of medical coding.
- Computer Skills
  - Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility.
- Certificates & Licenses
  - N/A
- Other Requirements
  - Familiarity with medical terminology or willingness to learn. This position requires constant sitting, use of hands and fingers, reaching outward, and lifting and carrying 0-10 lbs.
