We are currently seeking Systems Engineering Senior for a W2 contract opportunity in Dearborn, MI. This role has the potential to extend over multiple years, with the chance to transition to a direct hire position with our client. Position Description:

• Provide direction for controls equipment locations for safety, maintenance and production consideration for tool install and through launch. Verify all safety standards are followed
• Analyze customer requirements and map to NGAVS systems design
• Develop process flow diagrams based on customer input
• Own for the integration of NGAVS with Ford Vehicle Operations tooling and process control systems
• Work with vendor controls engineers to install, test, and debug standard NGAVS logic and drivers
• Create custom PLC code for plant unique situations or modify standard templates and AOLs to address issues identified by others
• Modify standard HMI code for AllenBradley PanelView HMIs for plant specific requirements
• May also direct the efforts of others, including agency personnel or third-party controls integrators, depending on the project assigned
• To support New Model Program build events (TT, PP, MP1&2) the candidate may be required to work during nonstandard hours, such as evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Additional Information :

• Must be legally able to travel to and work in U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
• Must be able to travel extensive to plant launch sites during critical phases of each new model program
• Must be physically able to work for long hours on the assembly plant floor (body, paint, and final); including walking extended distances and climbing stairs/ladders to overhead mezzanines where equipment may be located
• Residence of Memphis TN is a plus

Skills Required:

• Rockwell Allen-Bradly PLC5 and ControlLogix in an automobile manufacturing environment
• Rockwell AllenBradley PanelView HMI s
• Rockwell Factory Talk Production Center
• Experience with SmartEye vehicle identification
• Experience with SICK barcode scanners or equivalent (e.g. Keyence, Cognex)
• Experiences in Ethernet, Device Net, Profinet, Profibus, etc., networking, especially Ethernet/IP
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all levels of operating management
• Strong interpersonal skills to build close working relationship with customers

Experience Required:

• 5 years of experience with Allen-Bradly PLC5 and ControlLogix in an automobile manufacturing environment
• 5 years of experience with AllenBradley PanelView HMI s

Skills Preferred:

• Demonstrated aptitude to learn and apply new technologies
• Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member in the team
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

Experience Preferred:

• Client's Assembly plant experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office application suite
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD drawing package

Education Required:

• B.S./M.S. Electrical Engineering preferred. Computer Science degree with emphasis on Controls Systems or Manufacturing Systems also acceptable.

Education Preferred:

• Significant applicable experience in lieu of degree will also be considered
