Role: Housekeeping Lead
Reports to: Facilities Manager
Location: Mooresville, IN
Your Impact The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
The Janitorial Lead responsibilities include scheduling staff, shifts, monitoring staff attendance, monitoring staff performance, reporting absences, reporting conflicts within the team, and assisting staff performance reviews. You should also be able to make recommendations to management regarding promotions, transfers, and dismissals. Demonstrate sound knowledge of various cleaning methods and excellent communication skills. Custodial Lead will display effective leadership skills to ensure the timely completion of staffs’ custodial duties.

  • Assign custodial duties & regularly inspect work to ensure that established standards are met.
  • Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to janitorial staff as needed.
  • Taking inventory and replenishment of all cleaning supplies.
  • Responsible for keeping areas and storage rooms with supplies at ¾ full level always.

  • Assisting with the screening and hiring of new job applicants.
  • Investigate complaints regarding janitorial serviced and take corrective action.
  • Train and coach for all workers under his/her direction
  • Provide training (JJ Keller) and guidance to janitorial staff.
  • Resolving conflicts between janitorial staff in an efficient manner.
  • Attending meetings and in-service training sessions as required.
  • Performing all janitorial duties necessary.
  • Responsible for managing budgeted hours and versus actual
  • Responsible for the building/area being serviced daily.
  • Responsible for scheduling and planning services not included on everyday tasks: Floor waxing, Break Room, Restroom detail cleaning Office detail /shampoo.
