Position Summary:
The Paralegal is responsible for managing and facilitating the timely and accurate communication between clients and local counsel. The Team Member maintains the legal pipelines and assesses risks, ensuring a smooth process and escalating issues as appropriate. This Team Member will be heavily focused on detailed communications with local counsel and clients in regard to State Court Litigation and oversight of the bankruptcy process; this position may also assist with legal questions surrounding repossessions of equipment, remarketing of equipment, and compliance, working with the General Counsel as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assists with the processing of incoming mail and emails from bankruptcy courts, opposing parties, and clients enrolled in the bankruptcy program
· Drafting pleadings
· Assists with the preparation and electronic filing of proofs of claim
· Ensures that all relevant information and documentation is being provided to local bankruptcy counsel by clients
· Reviews and discusses motions and objections drafted by local bankruptcy counsel
· Immediately notifies clients and supervisor of claim objections and adverse plan treatment
· Timely communicates with local bankruptcy counsel
· Ensures the timely conveyance, receipt, and forwarding of legal costs and legal fees
· Managing schedule orders and calendars as required
· Assists with the processing of files after the filing of a bankruptcy petition
· Timely communicates with clients carefully, thoughtfully, and with respect to the specific needs and requirements of each client

· Paralegal certification
· 2 years of State Court Litigation experience
