YOUR DAY

You split your time between our Santa Clara and San Francisco Bay Area offices, spending about 2 - 3 days per week in the Bay Area.

As our Staff Software Engineer, you collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deliver quality DICOM and PACS-related solutions. Working with talented software engineers, QA testers, and healthcare professionals, you help design and implement functions according to industry standards, best practices, and technical specifications.

You implement image processing, communication protocols, and data storage functions, ensuring they're compatible with multiple devices and systems. Strategically, you troubleshoot and debug issues to contribute to the optimal operations of these functions. Your team spirit, ability to maintain detailed documentation, and willingness to participate in design discussions and code reviews make you an essential part of our software development team!

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a field like computer science or computer engineering
• 7 years of experience in commercial software development
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns
• Proficiency with C programming
• Solid understanding of DICOM standards (e.g., DICOM PS3.0) and experience working with DICOM-related tools and libraries (e.g., DCMTK, GDCM, Merge DICOM Toolkit)
• Experience with DICOM-based connectivity interface through the implementation of DICOM Store, Storage Commitment, Query/Retrieve, MWL, MPPS, print, and media services
• Experience with clinical systems such as PACS, electronic medical records (EMR), or patient management systems (PMs)
• Familiarity with common developer tool sets, including source control, continuous integration, and automated unit testing
• Passion for medical devices with excellent communication and teamwork skills

These preferred qualifications would help you stand out:

• Knowledge of medical imaging and medical industry software development
• Experience with modern GUI frameworks (Qt, Flutter, etc.)
