INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 317, DEER RIVER PUBLIC SCHOOLS, is seeking applications for: School Based Health Center Project ManagerGrant funded 1 year position Individual Contract Salary And Benefits$66,500; Benefit eligible Position DescriptionThe SBHC project manager will provide leadership for the facilitation, coordination, planning, development, and implementation of the grant-funded school based health clinic planning and implementation project. This position will facilitate discussions with a licensed health care provider to serve as a partner with ISD #317 in locating a clinic at Deer River High School. This includes collaboration with internal stakeholders, key community leaders and agencies to develop and implement a site based clinic at DRHS. Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership for the development of ISD #317’s SBHC; Establish an advisory committee that includes students and community members Identify a health care partner Manage the SBHC grant relationship with the MN Department of Health; Develop and submit required reports; Manage the budget and approval processes; Involve community stakeholders in the planning and implementation process; Educate internal and external partners on project responsibilities and procedures; Coordinate the integration of services between the school and the health care provider including referrals for families and children; Work closely with the school nurses Ensure sustainability by leveraging existing resources and developing new resources Education And ExperienceBachelor's degree Education and experience in public health or the healthcare field preferred Experience managing large projects and/or strategic relationships Experience working with community organizations, especially in communities with diverse and low-income populations Experience Working With Indigenous Communities Is PreferredMasters degree in health, education or business is preferred Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesExcellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills Ability to build strong relationships with diverse groups and individuals Ability to identify and create partnerships Passion for whole-community approaches to child development and growth Organizational skills Ability to organize and lead meetings High level of personal responsibility and drive towards ambitious goals Valid MN Driver’s License WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
