What Your Day Will Look LikeUnder supervision, you will perform a variety of routine clerical and supportive activities for instructional personnel, and other related work as required. This will include:
What Your Day Will Look LikeUnder supervision, you will perform a variety of routine clerical and supportive activities for instructional personnel, and other related work as required. This will include:
- As directed by the teacher, work with an individual or small group of students who have mild/moderate emotional disabilities.
- Make effective use of instructional materials and demonstrate effective methods of instruction to ensure that the individual student performance levels, needs, and abilities are addressed.
- Exercise behavior management and maintain control of students assigned to your care.
- Collaborate with teachers and other paraprofessionals in the special education and general education classrooms.
- Perform other duties as requested by the teacher and/or building administration.
- This position will be 36.5 hours per week.
- You have worked hard to earn a H.S. Diploma or equivalency.
- You have the ability to lift, carry, pull, push or otherwise move 25 to 50 pounds.
- You have the ability to walk or stand for extended periods.
- You can establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
