Under general supervision, assists employees with benefits enrollment and questions; verifies all insurance billing, maintains employee database and files, and ensures compliance with required benefit notices.
Essential Functions:

• Responds to questions regarding District benefits and mediates problems involving insurance coverage for individual employees and vendors, including family member changes and claim disputes (i.e., SHBP/ADP, Flex/GA Breeze)
• Assists with the administration of all benefit inquires
• Processes and maintains employee benefit elections, including new enrollment and verifying all changes in status elections
• Reconciles payroll benefit deductions, including keeping and managing ledgers for leave of absences, and worker compensation. Reconcile transaction list, ADP error report, and payroll deduction comparison. Manually adjust payroll to execute reconciliation
• Provides an overview for new employees of District Benefits offerings
• Assist with the Annual Open enrollment process including coordinating with vendors and developing written communication
• Facilitates the submission of paperwork required for employees who qualify under the district's short-term and long-term disability policies
• Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Associate degree or equivalent completed college course work from a Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in Human Resources or health insurance-related services required.
