As we expand our presence in the Metro NY area, we’re seeking a high-energy, results-driven Sales Market Manager to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
As a Sales Market Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of Deko Cocktails in the Metro NY area. You will be responsible for expanding our distribution network, focusing 90% on high-volume off-premise locations and 10% on travel retail. Your ability to build strong relationships and execute effective sales strategies will be key in placing Deko Cocktails in the top retailers across the city.
Key Responsibilities:
• Account Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive list of off-premise accounts. Regularly review and strategize with management to ensure growth targets are met. Schedule daily appointments with beverage managers and key decision-makers to present Deko Cocktails and drive sales.
• Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the main representative for Deko Cocktails in the Metro NY market. Drive brand growth through effective communication, decision-making, and impactful presentations. Develop strategic partnerships and participate in events to boost sales and brand visibility.
• CRM and Reporting: Manage your account base using the company’s CRM system. Track visits, orders, re-orders, and account follow-ups to ensure consistent performance.
• Staff Training and Tastings: Conduct regular staff training sessions and tastings to educate and engage accounts on Deko Cocktails. Promote awareness, advocacy, and adoption of our brand through these initiatives.
• Retail Distribution: Increase sales, awareness, and trial of Deko Cocktails in key retail locations throughout Metro NY.
• Brand Activation: Conduct consumer tastings and participate in activation events to drive brand engagement.
Qualifications:
• Experience: 3 years of proven sales experience in the wine, beer, or spirits industry, with a focus on high-volume accounts.
• Knowledge: Knowledge of working with Park Street is a plus.
• Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to effectively convey the Deko Cocktails brand story and build impactful relationships.
• Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for premium cocktails and a track record of successful brand-building initiatives.
• Location: Must be based in the Metro NY area with a robust network of industry contacts.
• Availability: Willingness to travel and work occasional weekends. The role requires 80% fieldwork and 20% office time.
• Competencies: Ability to build and maintain strong account relationships, drive sales, protect brand equity, and increase market share. Self-motivated to manage your territory effectively and report market conditions and opportunities to ownership.
What We Offer:
• Competitive Salary: $75,000 - $90,000/year, depending on experience
• Performance-Based Bonus: Potential for up to 20% of base salary
