Position Summary
Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located in Delaware County (Marple Campus), is looking for a talented and dedicated Foundation Coordinator to join our team of diverse higher education professionals who are committed to student success.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement, the Foundation Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive support to DCCC’s Institutional Advancement initiatives. This role encompasses high-level administrative and project management functions and assists in targeted development activities requiring confidentiality, organization, technology fluency, and sound judgment. The Foundation Coordinator will work closely with the VP of Institutional Advancement and other key advancement areas—Major Giving, Annual Fund, and Grants and Foundation Relations—to support external fundraisers and provide essential coordination.
The Foundation Coordinator position will be central in supporting Institutional Advancement efforts, coordinating with the Educational Foundation Board of Directors, donors, and community stakeholders. Responsibilities include donor and foundation stewardship, CRM management, event coordination, scholarship administration, and general administrative functions. This role requires expertise in database and CRM management and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. The Foundation Coordinator will also assist in prospect research, donor stewardship, and supporting major advancement events to engage and expand DCCC’s donor network
Essential Functions
- Liaison to the Educational Foundation Board of Directors
- Schedule quarterly and committee Board meetings, providing reminders to participants.
- Prepare, compile, and distribute Board materials, manage meeting logistics, and record accurate minutes for Board and Committee meetings, distributing them promptly.
- Work directly with the Board members on the Foundation's official actions and compliance elements.

Development and Donor Relations Support in Collaboration with Advancement Team
- Work with the Major Giving, Annual Fund, and Grants and Foundation Relations teams to support giving campaigns, event logistics, and donor acknowledgment letters.
- Conduct prospect research and maintain the donor database using CRM software, Raiser’s Edge.
- Assist with the scholarship award processes and maintain accurate, confidential records, assisting with stewardship efforts managed by other advancement team members, including scholarship thank you messages to donors.

Administrative and Executive Support for Institutional Advancement
- Manage the VP of Institutional Advancement’s calendar, including meeting coordination, conference room reservations, guest arrangements, and confirmations.
- Prepare check requests and purchase requisitions, order supplies, and stock supplies for the department and the Foundation.
- Assist the VP with donor relations within their portfolio, drafting correspondence, sending reminders, and providing additional support as needed.
- Keep regular on-site Advancement team office hours and participate in interactive, on-site meetings during normal business hours and on a regular basis.

Project and Event Support for Advancement Initiatives
- Assist in planning and executing donor and scholarship events to strengthen relationships with students, donors, and community partners.
- In partnership with other departments, design and implement programs to engage alumni, supporters and other community members, fostering inclusion and building support for student success.
- Coordinate timelines and logistics for various advancement events, contributing to effective community and donor engagement.

Confidential Office Operations Support for Institutional Advancement
- Draft and edit correspondence related to charitable contributions, maintain donor and scholarship records, and uphold confidentiality standards.
- Provide comprehensive support during meetings by taking minutes, distributing materials, and following up on action items.
- Ensure seamless office operations, such as answering calls, assisting visitors, and managing office supply needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate must be an engaging, effective, innovative, dynamic professional who fosters collaboration. This individual will be able to demonstrate the use of best practice strategies associated with Foundation and Donor Relations. This individual will demonstrate a spirit of an independent problem-solver and a strong understanding of the College’s mission and goals. The Foundation Coordinator will demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism when dealing with a wide cross section of the College community. The Foundation Coordinator will also have a demonstrated ability to encourage, model, embrace, and incorporate diverse thought and perspective of all individuals of various backgrounds, ideas, and perspectives to foster an all-inclusive environment and drive retention and completion results
Experience & Education
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2 years in an administrative, development, or nonprofit role, ideally within higher education or a mission-driven organization. Strong experience in donor relations, prospect research, and event planning is highly preferred. BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study or equivalent combination of experience and education is required. Association of Fundraising Professionals membership preferred
