Delaware Nation Industries is Hiring a Cloud Solution Project Manager Near Washington, DC

Overview:

The Department of State, Information Resources Management bureau needs to continue its Application Design and Delivery support. The Department of States (DOS) Cloud Program Application Design & Delivery Office (ES/ADD) supports the Departments cloud smart strategy to modernize IT capabilities across the enterprise. ES/ADD implements and sustains multiple enterprise cloud platforms and systems to provide the full range of business solutions to end users and shared service providers leveraging multiple best in breed commercial cloud vendors.

Responsibilities:

The Cloud Solution Project Manager performs management duties to ensure software projects are completed on time and on budget, as well as managing the support, maintenance and upgrade activities required for successful software product usage after deployment. The role covers the entire software development lifecycle from initiation to deployment and may oversee product support post-implementation to include periodic upgrades, security enhancements, and user support tasks. The role performs the project management duties as part of an Agile team, with specific taskings to provide activity and metric reports to leadership. The role requires stakeholder and communications management, and works with internal teams to ensure quality assurance, security, and other non-functional solution requirements are fulfilled.

Qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience with Agile Scrum processes and rituals including story creation, backlog refinement, sprint planning including story point estimation, and evaluation of stories for features and epics
  • 6 years of experience evaluating and documenting new products and processes for integration with new and/or existing systems to improve efficiency, supportability, cost, or security
  • 8 years of experience developing work breakdown structures, critical paths, and resource need estimates using Microsoft Project or equivalent for project schedule and cost estimates, including experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • 6 years of experience determining resource capacity and Agile iteration velocity, including long-term roadmap and personnel planning
  • 5 years of experience managing project and product risks including risk register management, mitigation development, and resolving activated risks
  • 4 years of experience managing solutions implemented in cloud environments, with technical understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing techniques, and experience understanding and reporting on cloud costs

Certifications:

  • Active Project Management Professional is required
  • Certified ScrumMaster is preferred
  • Top Secret Security Clearance
