Delaware Public Health District is Hiring a Registered Environmental Health Specialist Near Delaware, OH

JOB
The Delaware Public Health District is seeking a Registered Environmental Health Specialist or Specialist in Training, in the Food Protection Unit of the Environmental Health Division. This individual will perform Environmental Health on-site inspections, provide education and training to achieve compliance, interpret laws and policies, prepare reports that determine compliance with state and local codes, initiate public health orders and recommend enforcement actions, maintain accurate files, assist in the preparation of legal or administrative documents, collect field samples, etc.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Food Protection and Public Safety Unit This position is responsible for conducting inspections and plan reviews on food service operations/retail food establishments, schools, swimming pools, and campgrounds. Other duties may include vector control and solid waste nuisance inspections.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Salary and Benefits: The starting salary is between the minimum and midpoint of the range. Candidates will start at the minimum of the range unless their skills, experience, education or other factors exceed the qualifications of the position. Specialist in Training starting pay is $22.55 - $28.64/hr, may be adjusted commensurate with experienceREHS 1 starting pay is $25.55 - $32.45/hr, may be adjusted commensurate with experienceREHS 2 starting pay is $27.05 - $34.35/hr, may be adjusted commensurate with experience Benefits: Excellent paid leave (vacation, sick, personal), including 11 holidays and 20 hrs admin leave Outstanding benefits including medical, dental, vision, LTD, Life, EAP and many wellness perks Exceptional Retirement package including full employer OPERS contributions Tuition Reimbursement?
