The Position:
The Quality Inspector ensures product conformity by employing sound inspection techniques and utilizes inspection equipment to perform layout inspection of machined parts to customer-supplied blueprints. Responsibilities include:

• Use of surface plate, height gage, and hand tools to perform in-process inspection of manufactured parts and assemblies at various stages of operations
• Perform incoming inspection of parts from vendors
• Support efforts to maintain ISO:9001 compliance
• Assist management, machinists, and vendors with quality concerns.

About You:

• You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in layout and manual inspection methods. Experience in a Job Shop/ Tooling environment a plus.
• You demonstrate a strong understanding of quality inspection techniques and requirements
• You have a thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and are competent in the operation of standard inspection equipment
• Basic shop math and or trigonometry skills are desired
• CMM experience with PCDMIS is a plus
• You can communicate effectively verbally and in writing and are comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
• Above all, you are a responsible, reliable employee who has a solid work ethic and drive to be an asset to the company
