FinOps Senior Engineer

You will be working with some of the best minds and talents in the data space including business stakeholders, architects, application teams, privacy, security, governance etc. We believe in empowering our teams and leaders to take end to end ownership of the outcomes with the highest focus on quality, stability, security and customer satisfaction.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced FinOps Technical Leader to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating cloud financial management practices (FinOps) with our on-premises technologies. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing costs, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving financial accountability across our multi-petabyte data environment.
You will:

• Develop and implement cost management strategies for on-premises and cloud infrastructure
• Monitor and analyze expenditure to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies
• Create and maintain financial models to forecast and report on costs and apply cloud financial management concepts to on-premises infrastructure
• Ensure seamless integration between cloud services and on-premises systems
• Develop and maintain hybrid cloud architecture to support business needs

Essential Requirements

• 10 years professional IT experience with 3 years of experience in a FinOps, cloud financial management, or related technical leadership role
• Strong understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premises technologies
• Proficiency in financial modeling, cost analysis, and budget management
• Experience with cloud cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Desirable Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering or Computer Science
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities and Relevant certifications (e.g., FinOps Certified Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus

Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $170,000 - $220,000
