General Description
The Senior Project Manager will assist in managing scope, schedule, and budget for projects within the oversight of the Enterprise PMO. The Sr. Project Manager will work within the Project Management Office to ensure effective project planning, risk and issue mitigation, budget and constraint analysis, and seamless communications over the life of the assigned projects. Additionally, this highly cross-functional role will partner closely with multiple stakeholders across the Parametric business organization and technology teams.
The Sr. Project Manager will lead projects that may be technology focused, business focused, or a mix, depending on the objectives of each individual project. This role will lead projects involving multiple stakeholders across many different Parametric organizations, as well as external stakeholders. The Sr. Project Manager will most likely be responsible for multiple projects at a time determined by project size and complexity.
Primary Responsibilities
Drive effective teamwork, prioritization, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities while maintaining strong relationships.
Lead the effective and efficient delivery of large complex cross-functional projects and manage implementation activities for concurrent work-streams.
Anticipate bottlenecks, drive issue resolution, identify risk, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
Ability to create and communicate project metrics, schedule, and status to the entire organization.
Demonstrated ability to compose and deliver persuasive documents and presentations to senior management, stakeholders, project teams, and end users.
Maximize resources for the greater good of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical information.
Demonstrated ability to compose clear and concise written communication.
Demonstrated ability to create appropriate business requirements and acceptance criteria.
Ensure consistency with and application of PMO standards, processes, and controls across projects.
Job Requirements
BA/BS in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related area of study from an accredited college or university with applicable project management experience.
7 years of experience managing projects.
Excellent listening, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
IT delivery background with experience across the systems development life cycle with experience in all program/project phases plan, initiate, elaborate, design, build, test, and implement.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to multitask and handle interruptions.
Not afraid to get involved in complex issues to drive problem solving, and rapidly get to solutions.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to "manage upward"; able to think on your feet and exercise good judgment and decision making. Must pay attention to details.
Experience with Agile/Kanban Software Development is a plus.
PMP or Project Management certification is a plus.
Financial Services background is a plus.
