Job Overview: The Slitter Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a slitting machine to produce materials that meet customer specifications and dimensions according to work orders and blueprints. While prior slitting experience is preferred, we are willing to train candidates with prior manufacturing or machine operation experience who have the right attitude and aptitude.
Duties:
- Operate slitting machines efficiently and safely to meet production goals
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary
- Conduct regular inspections of materials and finished products to maintain high standards
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure work environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in using hand tools, micrometers, and calipers
- Experience with CNC machines, laser cutting, or stamping presses is a plus
- Ability to operate a crane or forklift safely
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
