Purpose: Are you an energetic and proactive problem solver with a desire to interact with team members on the manufacturing floor to make positive impacts on the business? This position will drive productivity and quality improvements that will directly impact Plant KPI's and the Delta Brand.
Responsibilities: - Drive improvements in Production/Manufacturing areas to meet productivity targets using strong problem solving and troubleshooting expertise.
- Champion activities to improve Quality and first run capabilities of production lines/cells.
- Design, develop and procure tooling, fixtures, and equipment with feasibility concepts/processes to meet business goals.
- Analyze data to determine root cause of defects and productivity bottlenecks.
- Act as SME in processes and tooling that will support manufacturing objectives. Provide coaching and develop of others as needed.
- Drive safety aspects of tooling and the processes designed meet all of the safety guidelines to eliminate the potential for injuries to the end users.
Education & Experience: - B.S Engineering or Technical education or equivalent work experience.
- Manufacturing Assembly Experience with High/Low volume environments.
- Demonstrated experience with formal problem-solving processes.
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing process engineering role.
- Appliance, commercial, HVAC, experience a plus.
