Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our busy podiatry office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing patient appointments, scheduling surgeries and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. Pay commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule patient appointments using electronic medical scheduling systems
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments
- Maintain and manage electronic medical records accurately
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Experience with front desk operations in a healthcare setting is a plus
