About Us:
At Delta Veterinary Hospital, we're on a mission to provide top-quality and compassionate care to pets in the Wayne community when they need it most. Our brand-new emergency/urgent care facility is dedicated to serving our community's four-legged family members. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals and diagnose illnesses or injuries
- Develop and implement treatment plans for animals based on their specific needs
- Performing emergency surgeries i.e splenectomy, GDV, foreign body removals, cystotomy, tumor removals etc is a plus but the candidate should be willing to learn the procedures
- Having the knowledge or willing to learn endoscopic foreign body retrival
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive measures
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine and attend continuing education courses
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of pet care, veterinary medicine, and veterinary terminology
- Experience in animal catheterization and dog training
- Understanding of animal physiology and behavior
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and staff members
- Familiarity with Instinct as the practice management software is a plus
