Summary: We are looking for a skilled Litigation Paralegal to be the backbone of our trial team. You will be responsible for the coordination of all the details before, during and after trial. The successful candidate will be able to aid during all phases of the litigation process including conducting interviews, legal research, document filing and attending trials. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda.
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
  • E-file court documents in federal and state court.
  • Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses.
  • Draft and serve summons.
  • Coordinate depositions.
  • Prepare deposition and hearing binders and exhibits.
  • Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court.
  • Interfacing with clients to keep them apprised of the status of their case and to obtain documents needed for discovery.
  • Gather relevant information from a variety of sources.
  • Liaise between the attorneys and internal/external third parties, including co-counsel, counsel for defendants, and the courts.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred)
  • At least 2 years of working experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
  • Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred).
  • General Litigation Experience, preferably in federal court 
  • Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices.
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: $55,000-$75,000

Schedule: This position is ON-SITE in our Fort. Lauderdale office, with no remote/ hybrid schedule. Schedule is Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts, 8:30am-5:30pm
