Job Title: Political Associate
Reports to: Deputy Coordinated Political Director
Salary: $60,000/annually, generous benefits package
Location: Milwaukee, WI (Please note: Employment with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin requires residence or willingness to relocate to the state of Wisconsin.)

The Opportunity: As a Political Associate, you will be critical in ensuring the continued operations and supporting program for the Political and Coalitions department. This role will be a vital part of supporting the team in reaching key goals ranging from coordinating surrogate events to organizing department briefings and updates, and more.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the coordination, planning, and execution of national surrogate trips and travel
  • Coordinate and provide contributions for all memorandums for national and in-state surrogates
  • Assist in coordinating travel arrangements and supporting national surrogates including providing transportation
  • Assist in coordinating department partner briefings and updates including crafting emails, setting agendas, and supporting staff members
  • Coordinate with the operations team to secure payments and supplies needed for department programming
  • Provide data management of department contacts and relationships to support outreach efforts for events, storyteller programs, and more
  • Assist in building department events and recruitment efforts including mass emails, texts, and virtual phone banks
  • On-year requirements include working outside of normal work hours; including canvassing and other election preparation as necessary

  • Organizational Skills - Demonstrated ability to handle incoming information from several mediums while remaining incredibly organized

  • Team Player- No task is too small. You are a team player willing to roll up your sleeves!
  • Access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel statewide
Qualifications (Preferred):
  • Successful experience conducting outreach for a political campaign, government department, business, non-profit or community organization
