JOB SUMMARY: Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Order Picker to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products from warehouse stock according to order sheets, preparing items for shipment, and ensuring orders are filled accurately and in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read and interpret order sheets to determine items to be picked, packed, and shipped.
- Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas within the warehouse.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to move and store products.
- Pack and label items for shipment, ensuring that they are securely packaged and properly labeled.
- Verify orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any inventory discrepancies, damaged products, or quality issues to the supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have proven experience as a warehouse order picker or a similar role.
- Must have the ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good physical condition, able to lift and move heavy items.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read and interpret order sheets.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
