Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute and interpret shake flask and lab-scale bioreactor fed-batch productions experiments to support process development
• Support transfer of upstream processes from development into clinical manufacturing
• Maintain and troubleshoot key cell culture instrument such as such as Vi-Cell, Nova Flex2, Octet and bench-top bioreactors
• Author technical development reports, tech transfer documents and maintain accurate laboratory notebook
• Contribute to continuous improvement of upstream platform processes as well as evaluate and develop newer technologies as needed
• Rigorously follow established workflows and also contribute to continuous improvement

Requirements

• PhD in biology, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or related scientific discipline , MS with 3 years cell culture development experience in the biotech/biopharma industry, or BS with 5 years of experience
• Proficient in aseptic techniques
• Strong understanding of mammalian cell and molecular biology and cell culture bioprocess engineering concepts
• Excellent critical thinking, scientific problem-solving, communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Experience in executing projects with ambitious timelines with the ability to adapt to rapid changes in project priorities
• Broad experience in protein characterization, DOE and analytics is a plus
• Experience working with novel large molecule formats such as bispecific antibodies and Fusion proteins is a plus

Salary Range: $125,000.00 - $157,000.00. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
