Job Description:
The Business Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area.
Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business.
Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where the development of an approach/taking of action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.
Requires good analytical skills to filter, prioritize, and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication skills are required.
Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinated projects (business change requests, system developments and new business on boarding) across Operations
Identify and solve issues in the projects across the business area
Drive improvement and competitive differentiation by proposing and implementing innovative solutions
Preparation & analysis of proposed system changes, gathering consensus between business requirements and technology deliverables to assure smooth projects implementation;
Co-operation with internal and external stakeholders to effectively deliver projects
Ensure that all necessary Project documentation is maintained and all necessary Client and Internal approvals for the project are obtained
Ensure all issues / potential issues are escalated appropriately and promptly;
Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal Client partners: Technology, Oversight teams, Relationship
Managers and Project Managers, by demonstrating committed inclusion in relevant forums, projects, business developments and service calls; Additional business oriented tasks requested by the manager.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Client, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
An excellent understanding of Financial Operations.
Minimum 5 years experience in Financial Services
Previous Reconciliation experience is not essential although would be preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
