Denso is Hiring a PC Team Leader 2nd Shift Near Battle Creek, MI
Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
Responsible for motivating and encouraging Associates to participate in teamwork, kaizen completion and other team building/productivity improvement activities.
Responsible for creating and maintaining all work instructions and manuals.
When Associates are absent, assists Manager with coordinating available manpower to ensure all PC activities are completed.
Responsible for coordinating the training of new, transferred and temporary Associates. Maintains on-the-job training records for all Associates.
Answers Associate questions, resolves concerns, conducts performance appraisals, administers discipline and is responsible for Associate relations within the department.
Ensures parts, tools and supplies are available for daily operations.
Oversees equipment to ensure it is functional, in good repair and within safety codes. May be required to make minor repairs. Communicates with the Maintenance Department regarding equipment problems, which require additional technical expertise.
Maintains product identification system including control of product identification tags and Control Identification (CID#) system.
Maintains finished goods storage locations.
Ensures that all safety rules are observed.
Ensures compliance with all TS-16949 requirements.
Ensures that labor plan goals are met.
Assists Supervisor with analyzing dock audit data and customer shipping concerns.
Ensures all work areas meet 7S standards.
Will assist Supervisor as required. May be required to fill in for Supervisor in his/her absence.
May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Quality / Environmental Roles and Responsibilities:
Follow all procedures and work instructions and make recommendations to improve the process. Notifies Leader immediately upon detecting any non-conformances.
Records all non-conformances to ensure corrective action and preventative measures are taken and assists in the problem solving process.
Communicates and practices DMNC’s Quality and Environmental Management Systems. Takes an active role in achieving and maintaining TS-16949 and ISO-14001.
Knowledge, Skills and Education Required:
An associate degree or High School diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years of experience
Previous experience in a leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Mechanical aptitude.
Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
Working Conditions:This is a 2nd Shift Position- Position hours are from 4:00pm EST to 1:00am EST.Combined, plant and office environment. Safety glasses required. May move, lift or carry objects up to 35 lbs. Standing and walking a majority of the time. BENEFITS:
