SummaryJob DescriptionKaizen Team purpose is to champion a culture and mind set of continuous improvement to support Human Resources (HR) in its delivery of DENSO’s foundational philosophy of customer satisfaction through quality products and services. As a Kaizen Project Lead you will have a great opportunity to lead projects that focus on HR process improvements. Through a consultative approach of facilitating and collaborating with HR CoE, Business Partner and project team you will quickly identify process problems, muda and kaizen opportunity within 10-12 week cycles. As a Kaizen Project Lead, you will facilitate an assigned HR project team from begin to end in evaluating current performance of a HR process through deep problem solving, root cause analysis and identify best countermeasure to Kaizen process. You will work with the project team to identify new process key performance indicators and implement change. Process owner, CoE or Business Partner will establish controls for standardization, compliance and continuous improvement. This role will be responsible for teaching project team members using fact base problem solving skills and eliminate muda through utilizing DENSO Tools: DAW (DENSO Approach to Work), DENSO Spirit and PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act). These tools will ensure project team members identify best process, system/digitalization and standardization to create business and job efficiency, accelerate automation and lower cost. Role And Responsibilities
Collaborate with HR partners, evaluate HR processes, identify and propose prioritized activities based on data gathering and outcomes
Identify project team, define project scope, identify establish project lead and cycle times, oversee team, keep team on track, continuously report status/results/findings/actions to Sr. Leaders, deliver countermeasure and action based on plan report status/results/findings/actions to Sr. Leaders, deliver countermeasure and action based on plan
Accurately identify problems/opportunities based on data analysis and information gathering internal/external to HR (eg. Vendors, Service Providers, Agencies)
Identify method/approach to resolve identified problem related to, but not limited to: Increase efficiency, cost avoidance, employee turnover, cultural assessment, improvement in knowledge and skills as related to process or digitalization, create sustainable solutions
Convey the vision and goals to project team for each new prioritized activity
Facilitate all regularly scheduled meetings with agenda, clear action steps; hold self and team accountable. Items to include but not limited to: Prj framework, Iteration planning, report out, and process/system review
Delivers project results within constraints of time, budget, and resources (systems and people)
Identifies project risks or opportunities and adjusts plans with appropriate countermeasures
Maintains budget plans and tracks spending
Responsible for the end-state report / communication to identified stakeholders
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, organizational development, industrial design, or related field
2-5 years of Human Resources experience
Strong experience and ability to influence and manage without authority critical job skill for project lead
Experience in effectively using PDCA
Advanced analytical skills necessary for the evaluation of systems and changes
Advanced level of analytical ability to problem-solve, evaluate, plan, and direct process improvement projects and benchmarking activities
Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to build effective relationships and to adequately explore complex/sensitive situations with executive management, department management, individual contributors, stakeholders when planning and evaluating work flows, policies/procedures, and systems
Strong computer proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Experience interacting with business customers and managing expectation
Proven work experience with a successful project delivery record
Preferred Requirements
Experience working with RASCI
Intermediate ability to prepare reports and analyses
Ability to explain, teach, and present the related issues to stakeholders
Lead or participate in DENSO Quality Circle Team
Experience in leading or consulting cross functional HR project for Regional or Global Company
