Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienists to provide exceptional patient care. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and providing support to the patient
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using our software system
- Monitor vital signs of patients during procedures and report any abnormalities to the dentist
- Provide assistance with pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort and cooperation during treatments
- Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes as needed

Skills:
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or similar programs
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Familiarity with taking and developing dental x-rays
- Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate patient records
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Ability to perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Understanding of infection control protocols to ensure a sterile environment
