Dental World of Miami is Hiring a Dental Treatment Coordinator Near Miami, FL

Looking for a motivated, outgoing, & reliable dental office treatment coordinator for a multi-specialty practice in Brickell, Miami, FL. Individual must have the drive & ability to learn in a fast-paced environment while putting patients first. Specific Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Primary responsibility will be to present treatment plans to patients. Candidate has to have basic dental knowledge to be able to help the doctor present, in lay terms, what the patient’s treatment involves.
  • Discuss cost of treatment and provide payment options.
  • Answer and respond to telephone calls with professionalism
  • Confirm upcoming appointments via phone call and emails.
  • Schedule patients’ appointments and efficiently organize doctor’s scheduled appointments.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments as directed
  • Gather and accurately record dental, medical and insurance information from patients
  • Securely store and handle records in compliance with legal requirements, including HIPAA regulations
  • Manage and update patient information via electronic health record software
  • Arrange patient information for the next day’s appointments
  • Track cases and referrals to and from other doctors
  • Help Keep patients’ insurance information up to date
  • Organize supporting materials for claim forms, such as radiographs or written narratives
  • Submit claim forms from office to dental benefits plans via mail, when needed.
  • Assist in the resolution of problems with third-party payers
  • Prepare and send overdue account letters as directed by the dentist
  • Contact patients with accounts overdue
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the dentist

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 years’ office experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of computers for word processing, scheduling, insurance claims processing and records management
  • Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, other staff members and community
  • Effective verbal skills to communicate with patients and staff
  • Experience dental assisting is a plus
  • MUST BE FLUENT IN ENGLISH (Bilingual is a plus)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
