Denton Floyd Real Estate Group is growing! We are seeking a skilled and experienced Corporate and Real Estate Paralegal to join our in-house legal team. Located just outside Louisville, we have a culture of teamwork, cooperation with other team members, and a family atmosphere that sets us apart.

Founded in 2008, Denton Floyd Real Estate Group is a full-service real estate development company specializing in the development, design, construction, and property management of multi-family housing. The Company started with just over 300 units and since then has strategically grown to own and manage over 12,000 units since 2012 in Kentucky, Indiana, Florida, Tennessee, Ohio, and South Carolina. The ideal candidate will assist General Counsel in corporate and real estate development transactions, contracts and administration relating to construction projects and their financing, entity formation and regulatory filings, litigation management, and legal research. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to contribute to a dynamic company with significant growth opportunity. Responsibilities include:

· Conduct legal research using tools like Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.

· Assist in document preparation, regulatory filings, due diligence, entity organizational documents, closing checklists, officer certificates and resolutions.

· Organize and maintain documents in electronic filing systems.

· Draft correspondence and communicate with outside parties.

· Assist the General Counsel with closings, organizing the deal flows and timelines, tracking due diligence, and preparing for municipal hearings and corporate meetings.

· Other duties as assigned

Qualities Desired In Successful Candidate:

· Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate.

· 3 years of paralegal experience

· Experience with corporate, real estate, and financing transactions is preferred

· Strong research skills

· Excellent written communication skills

· Experience recording real estate documents on the public record, formation and filings for entities with government agencies, Corporate Transparency Act compliance, and initial drafting of legal filings and documents

· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and document management skills

· Knowledge of legal terminology and principles

· Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office
