Job Description

Dentsu Creative (part of dentsu) & MKTG's sub-division of Field & Event Staffing is HIRING Part-Time On-Site Brand Ambassadors for a program that will be taking place on local college campuses in the Lincoln and Omaha, NEBRASKA area.

For members of college communities, this is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience within Experiential Marketing and establish a relationship with MKTG/Dentsu Creative for future opportunities.

Below is a list of events in which we will have activations on local college campuses. Please express your interest/availability for the specific events below. Candidates must be local to the area that they apply to, as this is not a remote role.

PROGRAM FOCUS: Educate the student community about a subscription service offered by a popular (national) retail brand and encourage membership sign-ups.

BRAND AMBASSADOR ROLE:

Brand Ambassadors are marketing enthusiasts who educate consumers on our client’s brand messaging during on-site live events. Brand Ambassadors will actively engage with consumers and event attendees with the goal of increasing brand awareness, building consumer trust, maximizing stakeholder satisfaction, resulting in membership/subscription sign-ups.

Candidates must be confident, well-spoken, and comfortable approaching people and fellow students to explain the service and benefits. We are looking for people who are fearless when approaching the public and super friendly with great energy! Participate in trainings to become familiar with the service that we are promoting. Assist with light setup/breakdown of the promotional area. Candidates with sales experience and an entrepreneurial, goal-oriented mindset are ideal! Candidates who are involved in the student community are preferred (either currently or recently)!

Must be able to work on-site / on-location and have reliable transportation to and from the local event.

Events will surround each campus' “Back to School-Welcome” event. As such, some events may be held outdoors.

  • Sunday, August 25, 2024: 5:30 PM - 9:30 PM (Lincoln)
  • Monday, August 26, 2024: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Omaha)
  • Tuesday, August 27, 2024: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Omaha)
  • Wednesday, August 28, 2024: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Omaha)
  • Thursday, August 29, 2024: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Omaha)
  • Friday, August 30, 2024: 10:30 AM - 5:30 PM (Lincoln)

PAID VIRTUAL TRAINING: Each hired staff member must attend a 2-day (2 hours each) PAID virtual training call, which includes a training deck review and quiz. Training dates will take place either mid-to-end of August and will be a paid (4 hours total) live, interactive Microsoft Teams Video call. Exact date/times will be confirmed closer to the events.

  • Willingness to be a team player in the busy atmosphere of an event
  • Professional, reliable, and punctual
  • Passion to learn about brands, new products, new brand initiatives, new technologies, among many other things
  • Able to assist with light set-up of a promotional footprint.
  • Sales and customer service experience with entrepreneurial spirit
  • Savvy with technology - this campaign requires the ability to walk consumers through a paid membership service that is primarily web and app-based.
  • Must have own method of transportation to and from the event
  • 18 years old and able to work in US
Additional Information


Anticipated Brand Ambassador Pay Rate: $30/hr

The role is for a Part-Time Occasional Hourly W2 employee.

Must be 18 and be able to work in the US (have valid and non-expired documentation)

If hired, there is potential for future event-work in the local area on behalf of other brands. This is a great opportunity for any students or recent grads who are interested in breaking into the world of event marketing and sales. Brand Ambassadors must sign off on all required onboarding forms and must adhere to the Company's Policies and Procedures.
