We are seeking a candidate with a strong accounting background to join our US Media Service Line Controllership team. The core responsibilities of the Accounting Manager are to perform and support the higher risk standard financial reporting and control activities required each month, quarter and year-end as well as supervise the execution of lower risk activities. This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
Manage the month end close of Dentsu X and Media HQ, including partnering with the offshore Controllership Center of Excellence (“CCOE”) and third-party outsourced provider
Ensure Balance Sheet reconciliations are performed timely and with a high-level of quality in Blackline
Ensure Revenue and related Cost of Sales are properly recognized
Maintain a working relationship with other teams and stakeholders in other finance pillars. Provide technical analysis and advice to key partners appropriate to experience, and working within the team to solve complex problems
Support the annual Group audit and internal audits as required
Support continual improvements in quality and efficiency of financial reporting processes, in collaboration with the wider finance team
Assist on ad hoc projects as needed
Minimum of BS degree in Accounting
CPA (or equivalent) strongly preferred
Knowledge of the Media / Advertising Industry strongly preferred
5 - 7 years of relevant accounting experience. Public accounting experience preferred
Strong technical accounting knowledge including revenue recognition, intercompany and project accounting
Collaboration and relationship building skills across Finance, Operations and Management within the Service Line and Regional teams
Experience working in a complex, matrixed environment
Experience working with off-shore/outsourced resources an advantage
Well organized, meticulous with detail, and demonstrate an ability to identify areas for improvement and efficiency
Ability to work autonomously and drive multiple projects simultaneously
Advanced competency in Microsoft office, specifically Excel
Experience with Dynamics 365, Blackline, MediaOcean, Nexelus, Concur, Coupa Treasury and SAP BPC an advantage
The anticipated salary range for this position is ($94,000-$152,375). Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
