  • Fosters team and company culture and demonstrates accountability for media performance and client satisfaction

  • Builds trusted advisor relationships with senior clients up to CMO-level

  • Stays abreast of new partners, technologies, data opportunities, and capabilities in the marketing space, including building and maintaining senior relationships with media partners to access, shape, and bring breakthrough ideas and opportunities to the client

  • Builds collaborative and trusted relationships with agency experts across media activation, analytics, technology, strategy, investment, and other disciplines to deliver integrated, data-driven media that drives client business outcomes

  • Translates business problems and media strategies into actionable solutions, and works cross-functionally to derive actionable insights from media performance data to continuously optimize plans

  • Understands the variety of dentsu service offerings and resources across the agency – within and beyond media – and mobilizes those offerings and resources based on client needs to deliver breakthrough client business outcomes and organic growth opportunities for the agency

  • Holds teams accountable to dentsu’s principles and standards, and connects viewpoints of executive management and agency vision with the practical realities of the account’s day-to-day operations

  • Understands agency financial operating models and contributes to contract development, financial performance oversight, staff plan management, and overall account health

  • Helps establish and maintain communications process and ways of working with clients and agency service teams to foster transparent collaboration, communication, and prioritization

Qualifications

  • 12 years of media/communications planning experience, with working knowledge of all media channels and progressive client management experience

  • Deep knowledge and experience with multiple communication channels and their role in brand marketing, including both traditional and digital media channels and both national and local media

  • Deep knowledge and experience using data, technology, identity, and advanced measurement solutions to deliver data-driven, high-performing media plans. Experience using media mix modeling to optimize plans

  • Proven ability to think strategically, with a balanced analytical and creative approach, and the ability to teach others to think strategically
