Essential Functions and Objectives:
Ensures the accurate and efficient functional operation of human resources information systems and human resources/employee benefits processes as well as human resources/employee benefit data integrity.
- Coordinate with federal and state entities in order to provide required reports and data.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the Business Information Systems Team about data requests and identify efficient and effective reporting methods.
- Process data requests for reports (e.g., compliance) from district system users.
- Identify problems in running of systems and correct errors or collaborate with DoTS (Department of Technology Services).
- Upload system changes (e.g., yearly COLA, health benefits tables, account code updates) and test systems for errors.
- Research, review, implement, test and install rate tables, plan modifications, system edits, and upgrades, as directed.
- Review, analyze, install, and pre-test functional interfaces and upgrades to the health, benefit and Finance/Payroll/HR module of the ERP systems (Infor/Lawson).
- Establish and maintain the ERP system job code matrix.
- Participate in the development of workflow solutions and business process improvements in order to improve the effectiveness of Finance/Payroll/HR tools.
- Develop or assist with development of system applications training materials and train users to effectively use the systems.
Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:
- Three (3) or more years experience with HRIS system administration activities.
- Advanced computer skills and experience with relevant applications (e.g., proprietary HRIS applications, SQL, SharePoint, Systems Knowledge, and Data Analytics).
- Knowledge of HR department processes and best practices using technology as well as HR policies and procedures, federal and state employment laws and statutes.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with District staff at all levels.
- Aptitude for variety and changing expectations in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to problem solve and act decisively.
- Ability to communicate diplomatically, persuasively, and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.
- Knowledge with Microsoft Office/Google products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs. Google Sheets, Google Slides.
- Demonstrated grant writing knowledge useful.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
