**THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN PLEASANT GROVE.**

**POSITION SUMMARY**

The Aftermarket Support Specialist will be responsible for quoting rebuild, certified

and standard job opportunities for the product support team to ensure we are responding to our customer

needs and increasing business for the parts and service departments. The goal of this position is to

provide quotes that are accurate and timely and also provide the details for our customers to help support

them in making the best decision to keep their machines operating.

**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS**

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

* Quote comprehensive machine and component rebuilds.

* Responsible for developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for pricing machine and

component repair options.

* Review manufacturer standard jobs and work with service operations to update.

* Review and update labor hours with feedback from product support team or feedback from

manufacturer and service department experts at the branches.

* Review and update parts for standard jobs using definitions that will be developed through

collaboration with manufacturer and all service department experts.

* Work with service supervisor to prepare work orders and pre order parts.

* Review pricing based on definitions by researching work order history, shop experience, branch

expert collaboration and other Caterpillar resources.

* Determine arrangement and serial number splits applicable to each repair option.

* Maintain machine population of customer accounts.

* Review KPIs and other reports to validate standard job performance.

* Develop and produce reports as required.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

**SKILLS & ABILTIES**

* Possess general knowledge of the machine and components disassemble, assemble and

recondition/repair process.

* High level of organizational skills; excellent attention to detail; the ability to work closely and intensely

with the top management as well as with minimal supervision.

* Excellent communication skills (oral and written), creativity, resourcefulness, and an internal/external

customer service orientation are essential in order to communicate effectively with all levels of the

organization as well as with outside clients.

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general information.

* Ability to write business correspondence, memos, and other material.

* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and

percentages.

* Ability to fulfill the essential functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

* Must be a self-starter who is able to work with little direction and supervision.

* Ability to handle multiple tasks, time management, and be detailed orientated.

* Must be proactive and confident with a willingness to offer input and to contribute and defend ideas.

* A high level of proficiency required in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required to perform the varied

duties of this position.

**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or

training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
