Duties * Serve as a Personnel Security Specialist processing contractor and subcontractor classification and clearance levels required for contract performance. Process suitability and security eligibility determinations. * Provide technical and administrative assistance in the formulation of policies, plans, and procedures in the area of personnel security investigations for contractors. * Assist the Lead Personnel Security Specialists in the performance of inherently government duties of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Trust Agency Sponsorship System (TASS). * Maintain liaison with all Defense agency customers, the Defense Security Service, FBI, OPM, and other DOD and Federal adjudications and security offices, to obtain or provide personnel security information. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Safety and Security Management; National Security; Intelligence and Security Studies; Criminal Justice; Law Enforcement. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.
