Department of Growth is Hiring a Marketing Automation & Operations Near Chicago, IL

Marketing Automation Specialist

At The Department of Growth, we are seeking an experienced Marketing Automation Specialist to join our team of experts providing outsourced growth services to startup and venture capital clients. In this role, you'll own the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of primarily HubSpot, as well as other automation and CRM systems, for our portfolio of clients spanning SaaS, technology, and other innovative industries.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage full lifecycle of HubSpot onboarding from installation, data migration, integrations, workflow automation and training for new clients
  • Design and build lead nurturing campaigns, lead scoring, email marketing workflows, and other automated campaigns in HubSpot
  • Ensure proper sync and alignment between HubSpot, CRMs and other sales/marketing tools for seamless data flow
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards in HubSpot to provide digestible insights and data visibility for clients
  • Audit and optimize existing HubSpot instances to improve data hygiene, lead routing processes and overall marketing operations
  • Stay up-to-date on HubSpot product updates, new features, and best practices for maximizing ROI
  • Provide HubSpot training, documentation and hands-on support to internal teams and clients
  • Collaborate with our marketing strategists, content creators, and data analysts on campaign ideation and execution

What You'll Bring:

  • 3 years of experience as a Marketing Automation Specialist focused on HubSpot
  • HubSpot Certifications and expert-level skills with all apps/tools (Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, CMS, Operations Hub)
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation fundamentals like lead/contact management, funnel optimization, closed-loop analytics
  • Technical skills with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, data management/APIs and web development 
  • Ability to translate marketing requirements into well-designed automated processes and campaigns
  • Background working in a fast-paced, client-facing services environment 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to manage HubSpot implementations from start to finish
  • Effective project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and consultative abilities for client training and support
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to derive insights from analytics and optimize based on performance metrics
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, business or related field
