Department of Homeland Security is Hiring a Supervisory Management & Program Analyst with Security Clearance Near Washington, DC

Duties This Supervisory Management & Program Analyst position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Inspector General (OIG), Office of Investigations (INV), Investigative Support Unit (ISU). You will be responsible forproviding investigative support involving criminal, civil, or serious administrative misconduct involving DHS programs and operations; overseeing, directing, planning, and managing key support functions to include Hotline intake, addressing data calls and Congressional inquiries, and managing and formulating internal guidance, policies and procedures. Typical assignments include: * Providing oversight of intake operations ensuring allegations are routed to the appropriate office, component, or agency. * Performing first and second line supervisory functions over subordinate unit supervisors, such as assigning work, planning, and scheduling ongoing production-oriented work, planning, and establishing the work schedules, deadlines, and standards. * Assessing policy and program needs across INV and overseeing development and implementation of new and innovative policies, procedures, standards, coordinating and collaborating with other OIG program offices to develop and implement policies and guidelines, analyzing proposed legislation and regulations. * Tracking and communicating all proposed legislation and regulations relating to DHS programs and operations that involve INV equities and making recommendations, providing input in response to requests for comments. * Representing the Agency at meetings and conferences with key officials in OIG, DHS, other federal, and state agencies, and private organizations; keeping management informed on the full range of OIG activities making recommendations. If you are a current federal employee, you must meet all time-in-grade and time-after competitive appointment qualifications by the closing date of this vacancy announcement. To make an accurate determination, you will need to include on your resume your federal position title, pay plan, occupational series, grade level, agency, dates for which you held the grade level (stated as MM/YYYY to MM/YYYY, OR MM/YYYY to PRESENT), and total hours worked per week. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You qualify for the GS-15 grade level (starting salary $163,964) if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level performing duties such as: * Overseeing the overall planning, direction, coordination and timely execution of the day-to-day operations and activities. * Leading, managing and supervising the day-to-day activities through subordinate staff of professional and support personnel. * Overseeing new and innovative policies, procedures, standards, guides, and conducts studies to enhance the investigative support program from both an operational and administrative perspective. * Providing advice and recommendations to executive leadership on the management, administrative, and planning the effectiveness and efficiency of major operational and administrative programs. * Developing strategies to analyze law-enforcement data from multiple sources and prepare special reports to Congress and General Accountability Office Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. The qualification requirements listed above must be met by the closing date 07/01/2024of this announcement. Current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade level or equivalent grade band in the federal service. The time-in-grade requirement must be met by the closing date 07/01/2024 of this announcement. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
