The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Clerk III to join our amazing support team! The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Iowa provides a comprehensive array of clinical services for individuals across the lifespan with mental health challenges. Our multidisciplinary approach includes psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational and recreational therapists, and others. Duties
Full Time Position: 40 hrs/wkHours: 07:30 AM to 05:30 PMShift: 1st, Employee needs to be flexible to work an 8.0 hour shift between 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. based on clinic need.
Minimum Eligibility RequirementsAny combination of related clerical office experience, related undergraduate education, and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to two years of full-time employment.
Desirable Qualifications Experience working in healthcare with psychiatric / mental health patientsExcellent Communication skillsExperience with Microsoft Office programs Experience utilizing electronic medical recordsExperience with Prior Authorizations. Experience with cash handling. Knowledge of the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics building and complex
