Department of the Army is Hiring a General Supply Specialist with Security Clearance Near Anniston, AL

Duties * Serves as a senior fielder performing Material Fielding functions and Total Package Fielding (TPF) for Programs within Materiel Fielding and Training and TACOM. * Operates as Subject Matter Expert in Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to perform, manage, and track supply and fielding transactions in accordance with Army regulations. * Operates as a mission or site lead when identified as the senior or lead fielder/supply specialist for a given mission. * Responsible for oversight of fielding management such as setting up a fielding area, manages required support and tools, and manages execution against fielding requirements. * Executes de-processing IAW specific Program Manager or manufacturer's instructions, performs inventory and transfers property in accordance with established regulations to the Gaining Command/Soldier. * Provides mission and fielder feedback to team lead and supervisor on all mission elements, develops or provides input to After Action Reviews as needed. * Performs broad range of supply transactions related to stock movement, requisitioning, status, and availability. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a temporary appointment will be appointed/converted into a temporary appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position. * Position may be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 1 year. Temporary appointments may be extended up to 3 years. * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required * This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. * The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles. * Incumbent may be required to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Travel Card. * When required participate in hazardous material training. * May be required to handle Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants (POL). * This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer. * Position requires working in adverse conditions or outdoors in all weather conditions including seasonally hot or cold temperatures and in-climate weather. * Position requires working in loud environments to include but not limited to the motor pool, weapons live fire range, and explosive ordnance. * Incumbent must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. * Position requires working on, in and around, climbing up on, entering vehicles and operating in confined spaces. * Position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 50-75% of the time. * See "additional information" for other requirements Qualifications Who May Apply: Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Maintaining property accounts in accordance with regulation and/or manufacturer's instructions; (2) Applying laws, regulations, and policies in accordance with regulations in order to sufficiently perform and manage supply and/or fielding transactions; and (3) Working with supply programs to provide a variety of logistics support such as: Total Package Fielding (TPF) process, major item delivery, fielding of equipment, new and modernized vehicles and/or support equipment delivery. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
