Development Officer
DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, New Jersey, is seeking a creative, energetic, and
results-oriented professional to serve as a Development Officer.
The Development Officer is responsible for developing and executing fundraising and donor cultivating initiatives and programs to help fulfill DePaul Catholic's mission and meet its strategic goals and objectives.
This position involves researching, prospecting, cultivating, and managing relationships with new and existing donors, as well as coordinating fundraising activities and events to raise funds to support the school’s Academic Merit Scholarship Awards as well as capital improvements to the school’s facilities and property. The position requires the ability to travel and work nights and weekends, as necessary, to qualify and cultivate potential new donors and develop relationships with the school’s alumni.
The Development Officer will a part of the Advancement Team and will report to the Vice President of Advancement.
Annual and leadership fundraising responsibilities Include:
Identify, cultivate, and solicit recurring annual “Adopt-a-Student” donations and
commitments to support the school’s Academic Merit Scholarship Award offerings.
Identify, cultivate, and solicit recurring annual and leadership donations and
commitments to support the school’s capital improvement needs.
Plan events to expand the scope of DePaul Catholic’s annual fundraising efforts in
relation to the school’s Academic Merit Scholarship Award offerings and capital
improvement needs.
Generate call and event summary reports.
Work with Marketing and Communications Coordinator to ensure that all donor solicitation
data is entered into the school’s database in a timely and accurate fashion.
Use the database to create appropriate donor and fundraising reports.
The following skills, experience, and qualifications, while not exhaustive, are
those the school is looking to find in the ideal candidate:
Minimum of five years of related experience in fundraising, donor cultivation and
relationship management experience.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to work collegially within a team of educational leaders and development
professionals.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area.
Possess high energy, diligence, and the ability to organize effectively.
A valid driver’s license.

Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton of Convent Station N.J. DePaul Catholic

Salary: Competitive for the area and based on experience, education, and qualifications.
