Job DescriptionHospice Registered Nurse (RN) RETENTION BONUSDependable Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking a compassionate and hardworking Hospice Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Hospice RN, you will provide specialized care and support to patients and their families during end-of-life journeys. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans for patients in a comfortable and supportive environment. Our organization offers a Retention Bonus for qualified candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide expert care and support to hospice patients and their families in consultation with interdisciplinary teams
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor and document patient progress, and make any necessary adjustments to care plans
  • Educate patients and families on how to cope with end-of-life issues and facilitate discussions about advance directives
  • Evaluate and manage symptoms such as pain, anxiety, nausea, and shortness of breath
  • Collaborate with social workers, chaplains, and other team members to create safe and effective care plans
  • Provide emotional support to patients and families as they navigate the end-of-life process
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hospice care regulations and best practices
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and communicate effectively with team members
  • Complete documentation and billing in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participate in on-call rotation as necessary
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid and current RN license
  • Minimum of 1-year nursing experience in hospice or palliative care preferred
  • Knowledge of hospice care regulations and best practices
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide compassionate and supportive care to patients and families
  • Ability to complete documentation and billing in a timely and accurate manner
EDUCATION:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution
  • Current RN license
