Job Duties
The Director of Psychology will actively supervise members of nonmedical clinical services, ensuring the provision of high-quality assessment and treatment; provide active clinical leadership across units and disciplines; conducts Forensic Evaluations as assigned; provide individual, family, and group therapies which are consonant with identified treatment needs and cognitive/developmental levels as specified in the Individualized Treatment Plan; support the hospital's trauma-informed model of care; ensure that all Knowledge Center mandatory trainings are completed during evaluation period.

Minimum Qualifications
- Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology, with specialized child and adolescent training
- clinical experience with children and adolescents
- licensed as a clinical psychologist in Virginia
- considerable knowledge of psychosocial service delivery, diagnostic evaluations, treatment, testing, and evaluation
- considerable knowledge of clinical psychology
- considerable knowledge of administration of mental health services
- considerable knowledge of supervision
- considerable knowledge of psychological research and crisis counseling
- demonstrated ability to organize, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive program of psychological service delivery
- ability to write quality assurance reports
- ability to supervise the work of professional staff and to provide psychotherapy in group and individualized settings
