Dermatology Associates is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Birmingham, MI

About us

Thriving Dermatology Practice, centrally located just outside downtown Birmingham. We are a smaller practice with lovely patients and hard-working employees that we would love for you to be a part of!

Busy dermatology office in Birmingham looking for a full-time medical assistant. Medical assisting experience as well as phlebotomy experience is preferred. Must be motivated and be able to work well with others.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting patients arriving at the office and entering exam rooms
  • Documenting detailed HPI's, medication and medical history intake
  • Assisting providers perform routine biopsies, culture collections, and surgical procedures
  • Answering patient questions and responding to prescription refills in a timely manner
  • Cleaning and stocking rooms
  • Completing prior authorizations for medications and procedures
  • Monitoring supply and sample inventory
  • Administering IM injections
  • Performing venipuncture (on-site training to be provided)
  • Scheduling surgical procedures and other routine office visits

Additionally, position requires dedication to at least one evening shift each week at our cosmetic office assisting with cosmetic dermatology procedures .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
